5 Ingredient Power Muffins

Is there anything better than the smell of fresh-baked muffins in the air?

Yes. Yes, there is.

The only thing better is the smell of fresh-baked muffins that only took a handful of ingredients you already had on-hand, thrown in your blender to prepare. 

Simple. Easy. Versatile.

All the things you need when you are busy caring for a new baby at home.

These muffins are delicious, packed full of the nutrients you need to keep going when you have a newborn baby, and take minimal energy to prepare. 

Bake a big batch and stock them away in your freezer for hectic days, or prepare them fresh within minutes. Better yet, have your postpartum and infant care doula make you a batch! You can eat them with one hand while feeding your sweet, new baby.

5 Ingredient Power Muffins

Makes 1 dozen full-sized muffins.


  • 1 cup natural peanut butter or other nut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 medium, very ripe bananas
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Optional Additions:

  • 2 tbs honey, agave, maple syrup, or other preferred sweetener.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, coconut flakes, cocoa powder, chopped pecans or almonds, cinnamon, raisins and/or other dried fruit.


Preheat oven to 400. Grease one full-size muffin pan with your preferred oil, or line with paper or silicone liners. Blend all of the ingredients in a blender, and fill each muffin cup ¾ of the way. Turn down your oven to 350, and bake muffins for 15 minutes, or until a toothpick poked in the center comes out clean.
